66<100
earlier this year, Elana Schlenker launched <100, a traveling pop-up shop reflecting current gender wage disparity in our country. starting in April in Pittsburgh with 76<100, the month-long pop-up features creative work by women artists, publishers, and makers from across the US.
the second installment, 66<100, just opened in New Orleans, representing one of the worst wage gaps in the country. through the end of November, 66<100 will be open from 11-7 Tuesdays through Sundays at 1612 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard and will feature items priced to reflect the wage gap, with men paying 100% of the retail price and women paying the percentage that reflects what they are paid.
we’re really excited to be included in such an important project - definitely check it out if you’re in the area, and get more info at lessthan100.org
